And it wasn't as bad as the terrorists made. Democrats as close as 3 days earlier *cough Kennedy cough* had been asking America to withdraw it's troops before this unique event in the Middle East. But now that the elections are over, one can only wonder what the new Democratic protest again. In the link above are stories of Iraq's *IN THE MILLIONS* going to the polls to have a true vote for the first time in Iraq. On top of this Iraqi's in America cheered as each one voted in one of the five polling stations in America. Overall this will help the Middle east as other countries look towards the democracy being spread in Afghanistan and Iraq. Who knows, maybe in the next generation the terrorist rates will drop as the Middle East turns to protest instead of murder.

In other news... UofA went 1-2 this weekend, which will most likely drop in a ranking to about 15. How WSU beat UofA is going to baffle most sports writers, or infuse the East Coast Media with further proof that UofA is over-rated. Of course... The Pac-10 does have the second highest RPI rating... but the East Coast media doesn't care. Their beloved SEC will be lucky to send 2 teams and they are bitter. Hopefully the Pac-10 gets at least 4 births like it currently deserves. The non-conference wins attest to that.

Well, you think after a week I'd have more to rant about (I have only done one rant... wow) but I don't. So I'm going to leave this on a up note...

MUUUUUUUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH to Kristi. I've decided that Snowboarding is not something you can learn in a day without emmense pain. It actually wasn't that bad, once you learn how to get up from a seated *aka having fell down* position. This in itself took a good 30 minutes for the instructor to teach. I recommend lessons just for this one skill. But the one thing I've realized today is that getting up take a lot of hip and forearms, and you will be sore the next day. Of course falling down a lot hurts everything else, so you hardly notice the soreness from the technique to get up.

The only down part on the day was getting shown up by the females who seemed to just able to balance better. But it was alright, after about 3-4 hours I could already go for bout 100 yards at a time before falling down. It's pretty fun to learn, I think I shall make more trips, but probably to Sunrise which is a shorter drive. Next time maybe I'll take Kristi :). Of course she has her heart set on Atlantis so I'll probably need to know how to scuba dive or water ski or something. Pretty soon I'll have tons of skillz.

MUUUUAAAAAHHHH Kristi! Glad you were on last night when I came home.

Ciao,

Jesse

Crazy Democrats

Well... the Democrats always portray the Republicans as the dumb ones... but here's a few headlines from today that are quite amusing.

Micheal Moore's ( Bowling For Columbine, Farenheit 911 )bodygaurd was arrested for carrying a weapon. Yes the man who filmed an anti-gun movie was employing a bodygaurd who did not even have a concealed weapons permit. And to boot, it was in an Airport... Micheal Moore, where are your values.

In other news anti-war demonstrators were arrested after pelting police with eggs and snow. Yes those who purport anti-violence seem to have quite a few violent protests. Certain news stations, such as NPR, even stated fires were set. I guess violence is okay only against Americans... more namely Republican Americans.

So in other news... I'm going Snowboarding for the first time tomorrow. Even going to pay for lessons. I figure I may as well as my ass will already be sore enough from all the falling tomorrow. But, it's something I have wanted to try, and I have a 3 day weekend, so I figure why not.

OH, and Kristi, get bettar sugar, sorry for givin u cyber strep. Yet everywhere else in the country the weather is freezing, literally. Those lucky bastards not living in Tucson... I have to deal with nice warm weather, what the hell.

So I couldn't really think of a topic for today, mostly because I didn't read the news and become angry. Isn't it funny how the news can make you get angry. Like a story on the Drudge Report the other day talking about how a woman killed her 12 year old daughter and made the 9 year old brother watch saying that if he shed a tear she'd kill him too. What the hell is this world coming to. Pretty soon people are gonna have to start taking insanity tests in order to become pregnant, some sort of safegaurd is going to need to be set up. Hell it's cheaper than paying welfare and disability every month, it would save MILLIONS, if not billions.

In other news, our universe is still expanding. Scientists may finally be able to explain the ethos of the cosmos. Interesting subjects, just do a google on Inflationary Theory, you won't be depressed.

And for kristi who isn't feeling well.... MUAH, get better babe :) HB on, miss u.

Jesse

Spankings

Well... It has finally happened. The world is now telling parents how to raise their children. There was a time where spankings were common ways to discipline kids. Now a kids protection agency in England is lobbying for laws that make spanking illegal and would pose up to 5 years penalty for it. Now this is completely out of line as many kids today need a spanking. As society starts limiting what parents can do to enforce discipline, more and more kids are becoming "ADD" which is just another term for undisciplined. Spanking works, it worked on me, it has worked on others. There are no long term social issues derived from spankings, it's meant as a way to teach kids. Kids can't live in Candyland, but it seems as if many child lobbying groups want them to. Kids eventually have to learn social responability as well as discipline. As a kid often spankings and the such are the means to this end. Taking away toys from an overly spoiled kid will not work.

In other news the University of Arizona plays UCLA today on national television, ABC at 4 EST, so don't miss it. Should be a good game this year as the PAC-10 is pretty balanced with all teams already having a conference loss. While they get no respect from the East Coast media the Pac-10 has an amazing non-conference win record.

And of course, can't forget to mention Kristi, she's still amazing me every day :)
so MUAAAAAAAAAAAh kristi.

Jesse

Those Crazy Brits

Zieg Heil Britain is what Prince Harry of England was doing at a party earlier this week. Prince Harry thought it would be a nice gesture to show up to a costume party dressed as a Nazi at his friends costume party. These are the same brits that constantly deride America's President George Bush. They need to keep tabs on their own Royal Family before they can laugh at the guffaws of ours. Here is another list of those whacky brits.

In other politics there is much fanfare about the new Social Security reforms Bush is trying to pass. The truth of the matter is that the Government can't continue to support the current Social Security system as it is. Many people get more out of it than they put in. Currently citizens put in 6.5 percent, up to 75000, of their paycheck into the system each month. Out of this you will receive a salary of you're 35 greatest annual incomes adjusted for inflation rate. What does this mean? People are taking more out of the system than they put in. Rarely do wage increases keep up with inflation. While it's fine and dandy for current generations, when the Baby Boomers retire, Social Security will dry up. Estimated dry up date is 20-40 years. This can be fixed with simple fixed, like adjustments based on wage increases instead of inflation. The fact is, reproduction rates are less than 2, which means consecutive generations will be smaller. Social Security can not support a top heavy population. Well anyways, that's my rant.

Muah to mah girl kristi

Ciao
Jesse

Just some news

News can often be the source of the stupid and the insepid... wait the stupid and insepid can be a source for news! Now there are a few rules about thew news. Mainstream media is often depressing. Look at the front page of any major news outlet and I promise you death will be found on it. They push the lighter side of news back to the "entertainment" section if they have any at all. In fact the news seems to rather talk about Brad and Jen's breakup than something uplifting. Well anyway, in spite of my respise of taking a day off without blogging, I still have nothing significant to talk about. Yes I'm a real blogger! But here are a few stories I liked, along with some commentary.

Firstly, there is hope for an aid's booster to prevent the onset of longterm HIV, found here. Yes people, in 10 years you can have worry free sex (as long as you're not worried about the other thousand STD's). To bad at that time I'll be in my mid-30's... who'll have me then?

Oh, I know what I can talk about! The beauty of the Road Trip! Well, I'll establish the rules (do's/don'ts) on another blog, they can be extensive. Had a family dinner as some of my family had birthdays between xmas and now... Those birthdays suck, cause they always get cheaper presents as you just spent so much money on xmas... good thing mine is in the middle of the year!

On slow days, or days when I finish a book, I may put up a review. Here is the first in what may prove to be many. Enjoy.

**********BOOK REVIEW**********

The Last Juror
by, John Grisham

Occassionaly John Grisham tries to go away from his legal thrillers and do a period piece, or a cultural piece. While the title of the book may seem to imply some type of connection to the law, there is very little law references in this book. The focus of this book is on a newspaper editor. It seems as if John Grisham tried to create a coming of age story about a Yankee living in the southland. The book takes place at the end of the Civil Rights movment and makes many liberally biased statements about historical events.
This book is far from John Grisham's best work. He tries to wrap a commentary novel inside a legal thriller, but there is very little thrill involved. While the main focus of the book is on the growth of the newspaper editor, Grisham includes a sidestory about a murder convicted then release after 9 years. After the prisonor is released, the people who judged him end up being murdered. The murderer is obvious, the plot is slow, the social commentary is unneaded. In other words this book is not a literary masterpiece.
I will probably go back to my wariness of New York Times Bestsellers after this book. If I used a 5 star scale, this book would recieve 2.

Not so bad

So, 4 days in a row and I'm still blogging strong. Blogging is kind of like a nicotine addiction in that it may take you a while to start, and you have to be consistent, but once you get started, loooook out. I don't smoke, but I'm guessing that's how a nicotine addiction is like.

For some reason some co-workers of mine are trying to "class me up". I think I'm plenty classy. They want to have a 'Wine Tasting' event, I can't say party cause that's a shitty party, next Friday. While I do like my wine, I don't pretend to know the difference between a Merlot or a Cabarnet or a blend. I figure if it tastes good, has alchohol, doesn't smell old, I'll drink it. I'd be all for this event if it weren't for the fact that they banned Boones Farm and MadDog 20/20. I may go, but half of the are married so it won't be exactly an exciting event. Poker has even been pushed back two weeks for this gala.

In other news, more dumb teachers, see here. What is up with teachers in the last few weeks? Something is going to need to happen to the quality of our educators in the next few years. It's beginning to be more and more obvious why America's children keep ranking lower and lower every year. Over a third of Florida teachers couldn't pass exams in the subjects they specialed in! Either increase the pay of teachers to make more people join, or impose harder licensing requirements. All I know is that something has to be done with k-12, the Universities are not required so they don't have to be as regulated. Anyways, that's all for now. Until next time.

Jesse

Ps. MUUUUAAAAHHHHHH to mah girl Kristi, I'll miss you babe :)

What's up with the ladies?

So the big question in news this week is: What's up with the lady teachers? Check out story! It seems that there is a plethora of female teachers, some young, that like to have sex with their students! This never happened to me... good thing too as my youngest teacher not in college was around the age of 50. But still, was I not cute enough to hit on?? What do these 13-16 year old boys have that I didnt' have... I never got approached or propositioned by a female teacher, it's not fair!

I have a theory....

In this day and age teachers are not paid enough by our educational standards. (I won't go into the actual educational quality of our teachers... ) So these teachers feel like they need a perk in order to get by. Unfortunatly some teachers feel this perk is to "befriend" their students. Hopefully this stops.

But back to my never getting propositioned rant! WTF... it's like Australia, WTF!! sorry, reference to a movie. Anyways, that does it for today. Sorry my post wasn't entertaining today, remember I'm new to blogging.

Coming soon! The best in editorial cartoons, when I get off my lazy ass.

MUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH to kristi. She's the bestest. He said he did, it was as hard as trying to start flossing.

I actually believe in this observation... flossing is hard to start doing, but quite refreshing when you do it.

So anyway, there is a big scare at my work because the government has cut 30 billion over the 06-11 Military budget... yet none of my companies programs have been cut. The cuts fell on Lockheed and Northrupp instead.

On the lighter side of news... An ancient race of giant eagles has been found! Check it out here for details, pretty interesting.

I'll be back with more comments as Kristi tells me to post. I don't know why I created this blog; well, really I didn't create it. But for those of you who stumble upon this tragic site please be warned, it is not for the faint of heart. I may say things to offend... well most likely it will be a definite. Either way what you will find here is commentaries on news... sports... no advice at all... and maybe some conspiracy theories. So there you have it, my first blog... I am one of you. Unless this isn't a blogger reading this, then I'm one of them. And remember, blog was rated one of the most annoying words of last year.

As a final thought.... MUUUUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH to kristi. If you don't know, don't ask. Peace out.

Oh, and special thanks to AnnaJ who made this site possible. If it weren't for her, I'd have been too lazy to post.
